The latest style in hair accessories are hair scarves. Hair scarves are similar to bandanas. You put them over the top of your hair, and tie underneath your hair. When this trend first started out, I wasn’t so sure about it. I felt like I kind of looked like a pilgrim haha. BUT now that I have learned how to style them correctly, I actually love them! I am going to share a few tips and tricks with you, so you can also love this new trend.
Tips and Tricks:
I have learned throughout my searching, that having volumized hair is the best thing you can do! Having volume in your hair makes it look more full, makes your hair look like it has life to it, and makes the hair scarf lay and style easier. I hate when my hair looks flat, like its stuck to my head. I use dry shampoo… especially when my hair is freshly clean, volumizing spray, occasionally ratting pieces, and hairspray. You don’t want to go too crazy with these volumizing products. You will be so surprised how much better your hair will look! I have also found that styling your hair before volumizing it helps a ton. I like my hair either curled, or natural. My natural hair is super curly or wavy, so it has the volume part down all on its own haha. Styling your hair will make the volume easier to keep.
Styling:
When styling a hair scarf, I like to fold it into a triangle, and then fold the front part a few times. I have a pretty small head, so I have to fold it to make sure it isn’t too big on me. Once I have sized it correctly to my head, I will put it on and tie it, then just mess with it until I like how it looks. Wearing and styling hair scarves can be super easy once you get the hang of it. They really help you look like you know what you’re doing, even if most of the time you really have no clue what you’re doing haha.
